A single orifice does double work. The ear opens onto a wet red throat — receptive organ become screaming mouth, the aperture that takes in and emits at once. A black lace veil is drawn aside; to unveil is to reveal, and what it exposes is not a sacred presence but the orifice itself, the abject the cloth kept decent. Across the face the veil's seam runs like a sutured wound, castration worn as ornament rather than carried as trauma. From the skull a fan of rays and red-tipped stalks unfurl, part pneuma, part anemone. The doubled ears and recombined features stage identification as such, a face precipitated out of what it has swallowed. Hair pours in dark currents, the semiotic flooding the symbolic seam. What enters by the ear is reborn as scream — not an ending but a threshold, the veil drawn back on a body already being remade into something not its own.
