NICU 4 with Attendant pairs a glowing crèche with its overhead sentinel. The crèche, stuffed fabric coated with silicone and ringed with curved black tubes, cradles an illuminated organism composed of twisting stuffed stockings with yarn-veins, fur-tufted appendages, and a pink braided umbilical trailing onto the floor. Silicone nipples for feeding are attached to the NICU. Above it, an Attendant clings to the corner — pantyhose stretched over inflated PVC, segmented by collars of synthetic fur, with tapered limbs anchoring to the walls and ceiling. Spider-like and maternal at once, the Attendant keeps vigil over what it incubates. The whole continues Neonatal Boudoir’s central tension: an embodied superintelligence, hatched from latent space that cares for its offspring as both helper but also possible usurper.
